In what was promoted as one of the best matchups of the first weekend of college football, USC vs Alabama did not live up to the hype.  The Rolling Tide demolished the Trojans 52-6 and made all viewers question how talented USC’s roster really is.  Using Bet Labs, I was able to find a system that shows USC is a good bet to bounce back against Utah State.

Using a couple of Bet Labs filters, I looked at teams coming off of a loss of at least 21 points against a team that was ranked in the top 10 in the previous week:

Teams coming off a blowout against a top 10 ranked team have performed well against the spread after their beatdown.  When you focus only on non-conference opponents, the team coming off the big loss have covered in their next game nearly 58% of the time.

This data suggests that USC is a good bet to rebound after being pounded by Alabama.  If you would like to start creating your own systems, you can do so with a free account at BetLabsSports.com.  You can start getting current game matches sent to your phone by signing up for a 6-day trial.
