Tony Romo, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jay Cutler and Tyrod Taylor are a few of the quarterbacks that may change teams this offseason. Where will they land? Let’s play a game of NFL quarterback roulette to find out. Odds courtesy of Bovada.lv.

Tony Romo – Whose roster will he be on for Game 1 of the 2017 Regular Season?

  • Denver Broncos                        3/1
  • Kansas City Chiefs                    7/2
  • Houston Texans                        5/1
  • Dallas Cowboys                        6/1
  • Chicago Bears                          15/2
  • Buffalo Bills                              10/1
  • New York Jets                           10/1
  • Jacksonville Jaguars                 12/1
  • Miami Dolphins                         12/1
  • San Francisco 49ers                  12/1

The Cowboys have to make a decision on Tony Romo. The former starter has a cap hit of $24.7 million for 2017. With the emergence of Dak Prescott the All-Pro signal caller is now expendable. Financially, it makes the most sense for Dallas to cut Romo and designate him as a post-June 1 release (this allows them to stretch the dead money from his deal over two seasons). If Romo becomes a free agent the Broncos are the favorites to acquire him. The Chiefs and Texans are also in contention with playoff rosters that many believe are just a QB away from serious contention.

Jimmy Garoppolo – Whose roster will he be on for Game 1 of the 2017 Regular Season?

  • New England Patriots                2/1
  • Chicago Bears                          9/4
  • Cleveland Browns                      3/1
  • San Francisco 49ers                  9/2
  • Denver Broncos                        12/1
  • Houston Texans                        12/1
  • New York Jets                           12/1

Will they or won’t they? There is no guarantee that the Patriots will trade Jimmy Garoppolo, the odds suggest there is a 33.3% chance he remains in Foxborough, but there will be teams making offers for Tom Brady’s backup. Are the Bears, Browns or 49ers desperate enough to give up a first round pick or is New England willing to settle for lesser compensation?

Jay Cutler – Whose roster will he be on for Game 1 of the 2017 Regular Season?

  • Miami Dolphins                         7/4
  • New York Jets                           11/4
  • Cleveland Browns                      9/2
  • San Francisco 49ers                  9/2
  • Chicago Bears                          5/1
  • Houston Texans                        10/1

Cutler had his second lowest passer rating of his career last season and has played a full 16-games just one in his time with Chicago. Despite his trade value being at an all-time low, the Bears are determined to see him gone. The most likely landing spots for the 34-year old quarterback are the Dolphins, Jets, Browns and 49ers – all teams that have question marks at the position.

Tyrod Taylor – Whose roster will he be on for Game 1 of the 2017 Regular Season?

  • Buffalo Bills                              1/1
  • Cleveland Browns                      7/2
  • Chicago Bears                          4/1
  • San Francisco 49ers                  4/1
  • New York Jets                           6/1

The Bills haven’t been to the playoffs since 1999. It made sense for the franchise to move on from Rex Ryan and one could argue that the team should hit the reset button and let Tyrod Taylor leave town. Except Buffalo doesn’t really have a better option. Despite inconsistent play, the team has a $27 million option to retain Taylor and reports indicate it is more likely than not that the quarterback returns. If not, the odds suggest Taylor could make a new home with another struggling organization.
