Will Brock Osweiler, Cody Kessler or DeShone Kizer start for the Browns? Which of the Texans quarterbacks will be under center when the season begins? We don’t know who will start for these teams but we can bet on it! Bookmaker.eu is offering NFL prop bets on which quarterback will start for the Bears, Broncos, Browns, Jets and Texans. Is there any value to be had on these props?

Who will start for the Bears in Week 1?

  • Mike Glennon -1200
  • Mitchell Trubisky +700

Trubisky is the quarterback of the future but the Bears are paying Glennon $16 million to be the starter this year. The former Buccaneers backup is going to start Week 1 but I’d bet Trubisky gets a crack at the job before the season is over.

Who will start for the Broncos in Week 1?

  • Trevor Siemian -360
  • Paxton Lynch +270

Siemian is in the driver’s seat after starting 14 games last year. His below average play is concerning but Paxton Lynch didn’t perform any better with the playing time he was given last season. The Broncos could be a playoff team if they can figure out the quarterback position.

Who will start for the Browns in Week 1?

  • Brock Osweiler +130
  • DeShone Kizer +220
  • Cody Kessler +235

The good news, the Browns have a lot of options at quarterback. The bad news, they have to pick between Osweiler, Kessler and Kizer. Kessler was the “starter” during OTAs and minicamp. He should get first team snaps when training camp begins this week. Kessler +235 has value.

Who will start for the Jets in Week 1?

  • Josh McCown -105
  • Christian Hackenberg +105
  • Bryce Petty +1800

Experience matters and McCown is the leader in the club house to start Week 1. The odds suggest a strong training camp by Hackenberg could propel him ahead of McCown. It is the Jets, so it doesn’t really matter.

Who will start for the Texans in Week 1?

  • Tom Savage -320
  • Deshaun Watson +280
  • Brandon Weeden +4000

Tom Savage played in three games last year and completed 63.0% of his passes but threw zero touchdowns opening the door for Deshaun Watson, who the Texans moved up in the first round to take. Bill O’Brien continues to say Savage is the starter, the odds agree.
