Warriors locked up No. 1
It’s not official but with just seven games left the Warriors have virtually locked up the No. 1 seed in the West. Golden State rallied from a 22 point deficit to beat the Spurs on Wednesday. San Antonio was the Dubs only really competition for the top spot.
Cavs vs. Celtics
Unlike the Warriors, the Cavs are in a “delicate spot” according to LeBron James. After dropping back-to-back games Cleveland fell out of the top spot in the East on Monday. However, the Celtics lost last night to give the No. 1 seed back to LeBron and crew. The Cavs are the favorites (51.5%) to finish atop the Eastern Conference but it’ll be closer than they would like. Cleveland and Boston meet on April 5th in a game that could decide who has home court advantage.

5 in the East
The Heat and Pacers currently occupy the 7th and 8th seeds in the East. However, there are five teams with a chance of capturing the final two playoff spots. It’ll most likely come down to Miami, Indiana and Chicago but with each team below .500 does it even matter?
Blazers vs. Nuggets
Memphis hasn’t clinched a playoff spot yet but with a 4.5 game lead over the 8-seed the Grizzlies appear headed back to the postseason. That leaves one spot left in the West unclaimed. The Blazers and Nuggets are battling for the right to get crushed by the Warriors in the first round. Portland is 74.1% likely to reach the postseason. If you want a longshot, the Pelicans are still alive with a 0.4% chance of getting the No. 8 seed after trading for DeMarcus Cousins.
