The Sixers are good. Well, they have been playing good basketball in January at least. Without Joel Embiid, Philly knocked off Milwaukee 114-109 after scoring a season-high 72 points in the first half.

Miami blew a 10 point lead in the final few minutes only for Dion Waiters to drill a 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left to help the Heat upended the Warriors 105-102. Waiters tied his career-high with 33 points.

LeBron James has said the Cavs need to add another scorer. On Wednesday, the Knicks offered Carmelo Anthony for Kevin Love. Cleveland declined the offer.

There will be no three-peat dunk champion. Zach LaVine, the two-time defending title holder, has declined an invitation to participate in the contest. Sad.

Joakim Noah is not the best free throw shooter but his air ball on Monday from the line was pretty bad. Noah is making a career-worse 41.9% of his free throw attempts this season.
