The 76ers have won ten games this season, which is as many as they had all of last year. Winners of three of their last four games, Joel Embiid thinks the team has a chance to make the playoffs.

The only problem, with a win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday the Sixers are just 10-25. A marked improvement from years past but still 8 games out of the last playoff spot in the East.

Nicknamed “The Process”, Embiid has faith in his team but should the rest of Philly?

The Sixers are the definition of a longshot according the oddsmakers. There aren’t specific odds for the team to reach the postseason but Philly has the worst odds of any team in basketball to win the East (+50000) and the title (+150000).

According to six different predictive NBA models the best chance the 76ers have of making the playoffs is <1%. It is highly improbable that Philly will reach the postseason but you got to trust The Process. In basketball, anything can happen.
