Last week, four top-10 teams lost and seven ranked teams lost to unranked opponents. Top 25 teams wouldn’t be punked again (and bettors profited), plus ugly streaks continued for some of college football’s cellar dwellers and is Tom Herman the underdog GOAT? Biggest Money-line Upsets

Charlotte U (+300) vs UAB

Who doesn’t like free football? Charlotte-UAB went to double overtime where the 49ers, after trailing 17-0, rallied to beat the Blazers 25-24. It was Charlotte’s first win of the season and the biggest upset in Week 8.

Arizona State (+283) at Utah

A week after upsetting No. 5 Washington, Arizona State dominated Utah 30-10. The Sun Devils’ defense forced four turnovers and the offense rushed for over 200 yards. After a 2-3 start, Arizona State is now a contender in the Pac-12 South.

Pittsburgh (+275) at Duke

Pittsburgh running back Darrin Hall rushed for a career-high 254 yards and three touchdowns. Pitt hadn’t rushed for more than 200 yards in a game this year and its 24-17 win over Duke was the first against a Power-5 team in 2017.

0-8 ATS

BYU closed as 5-point favorites on the road at East Carolina and 56% of spread bets were on the Cougs despite burning bettors repeatedly this season. BYU lost 33-17 and fell to 0-8 ATS.

44th straight road loss

Stop me if you think you’ve heard this one before, Kansas lost on the road. The Jayhawks tied an NCAA record by losing its 44th straight road game. KU managed 21 yards of total offense in a 43-0 blowout against TCU.

Tom Herman Underdog

The Texas breakthrough many in Austin are waiting for still hasn’t happened. UT fell 13-10 to Oklahoma State but managed to cover as touchdown underdogs. Tom Herman is now a perfect 8-0 ATS when getting points.

Trend Highlight – Windy Unders

One of the simplest betting systems in our Think Tank is “Windy Unders” in college football. Windy games make it harder to complete passes and to make field goals, which leads to less scoring. All-time, this Pro System is 445-332, +90.45 units and has started 2017 by going 11-6 (64.7%) Under.
