The first Saturday in November was bonkers. Ohio State and Penn State collapsed, a coach trolled gamblers and a quarterback got ejected for targeting. In case you missed it, here is your Week 10 betting recap.

Week 10 Betting Trends

Underdogs 32-29 (52.5%) ATS

Home teams: 34-27 (55.7%) ATS

Ranked teams: 12-13 (48.0%) ATS

Overs went 33-27-1 (55.0%)

Betting against the public (<50% of bets) in all games went just 29-30 (49.2%) ATS but focusing on the most popular matchups contrarian bettors went 4-1 ATS with only Oklahoma cashing.

Biggest Money-line Upsets

Iowa +868 vs. Ohio State

It’s one thing not to cover, like the trend above suggested, but to get blown out, few predicted Iowa routing Ohio State 55-24. The Hawkeyes covered the spread by 52 points, the largest margin all season and the 17th time a team covered the spread by 50 or more points since 2005.

Michigan State +305 vs. Penn State

Michigan State’s Matt Coghlin kicked a 34-yard field goal as time expired to upset No. 7 Penn State 27-24. The Nittany Lions have dropped two straight on the road ending any hope of reaching the College Football Playoff.

Other moneyline upsets

UL Monroe +265 vs. Appalachian State

UVA +262 vs Georgia Tech

Florida International +213 vs. UTSA

UL Lafayette +208 at South Alabama

Kiffin Trolls Gamblers

Poor clock management by Lane Kiffin led to Florida Atlantic taking a safety with 8 seconds to play. The Owls were covering the 6.5-point spread but ended up winning 30-25. Later Kiffin tweeted that he didn’t want to cover the spread, this really happened!

QB Ejected

You don’t see this every day but a quarterback got ejected for targeting. Northern Arizona’s Case Cookus was tossed for a crack-back block. Was it targeting or just a good block?

Florida State Still Hasn’t Covered

Syracuse missed a field goal as time expired and Florida State ended a two-game losing streak and earned its first home victory of the season. The only problem, the Noles failed to cover as 7.5-point favorites. The Seminoles (0-6-2 ATS) are the only winless team in the FBS against-the-spread.

Trend Highlight – Small Visiting Dogs

The most profitable betting systems are often the simplest. In windy games bet the Under. High winds can make it difficult to complete passes and make field goals leading to lower scoring games. On Saturday, the wind was blowing in the Wyoming-Colorado State game. Over 70% of bets were on the Over but the Under 48.5 easily covered as the Cowboys beat the Rams 16-13.

This Pro System is 13-6 in 2017 and 447-332-12 (57.4%), +92.37 unit since 2005.
