The Cowboys keep winning, the Browns keep losing and the Packers are almost as bad as kickers, here is your Week 11 betting recap.

Betting Trends

  • Favorites went 9-5 (64.3%) ATS
  • Road teams went 7-6 (53.8%) ATS
  • Unders went 11-3 (78.6%)
  • Betting against the public (<35% of tickets): 1-6 (14.3%) ATS
  • Teams with a winning record: 8-5 (61.5%) ATS

Biggest Money-line Upset

Buccaneers (+256) at Chiefs

Tampa Bay ended Kansas City’s five game winning streak with a 19-17 upset. Jameis Winston threw for 331 yards and the defense came up with big plays including an interception of Alex Smith in the end zone during the fourth quarter.

Bad Day at the Office

NFL kickers missed (or had blocked) a record 12 extra points in Week 11. In 2014, the last year where the extra point was a 20-yard kick, there were just eight misses the entire season.

Bad Beat

The Browns are bad. Not only do they keep losing but they find ways to burn those who bet on them. Cleveland managed to stay in the game with Pittsburgh as 8 point underdogs by scoring a touchdown in the fourth. However, Cody Parkey missed an extra point so instead of Cleveland trailing 17-10 and covering, they were down 17-9. At least bettors were getting a push, right? Then Josh McCown was stripped sacked and the fumble was recovered for a cover-breaking touchdown.

Trend Highlight – Division Unders, Late in Season

There is usually value on the under in games with high totals. This advantage is magnified in late season divisional contests as these matchups are often the second time the teams have played each other. The familiarity with one another tends to favor lower scoring games.

There were three plays generated by this Pro System including the under in the Colts/Titans game. Indy jumped out to a big lead and Tennessee made it interesting late but the under easily hit with just 13 points scored in the second half.

All-time betting the under in in late season divisional games has gone 138-79 (63.6%). This season the Pro System is 3-0 (100%) on the under.
