There is incredible power in understanding how teams, players, leagues and markets have reacted to various scenarios. Using Bet Labs massive database of proprietary sports betting information you can easily build and explore data-driven betting systems.
Each week we will provide a betting trend for every NFL game. Some trends will be team specific and others situational. Our database goes back to 2003, the trends include all games in that time frame unless otherwise mentioned.
Chiefs (-3) vs. Raiders
Alex Smith is 8-1 straight-up against the Raiders in his career, the Chiefs have already beaten Oakland once this season and it is expected to be very cold at kickoff in Arrowhead. However, Derek Carr and co. have won six straight and haven’t lost on the road this season. This game will go a long way to determining who wins the division and gets home field advantage in the AFC.
Eagles (pick’em) vs. Redskins
After a hot start, Philly has lost seven of their last nine games. Washington has lost two straight but is still in the playoff hunt. This NFC East showdown isn’t as sexy as Cowboys-Giants but it still carries postseason implications.
There is a Pro System pick for this game that is 232-162 (59%)
Packers vs. Seahawks (-3)
Seattle is fresh off a blowout of Carolina on Sunday night. The Seahawks, trying to catch the Cowboys, are favored in Green Bay. This will be just the fourth time Aaron Rodgers has been a home underdog in his career. The Packers need a win to keep their playoff hopes a live, hopefully it’s another memorable game on the frozen tundra of Lambeau.
Giants vs. Cowboys (-3)
Dallas can clinch the NFC East with a win and take another step toward locking up home field advantage and a first round bye. If the playoffs started today the Giants would be in but not much separates the G-Men from the other Wild Card teams.
Buccaneers (-2.5) vs. Saints
Tampa Bay has won four straight and is tied atop the NFC South with Atlanta. New Orleans has a losing record but nine wins could take the division. Will the Bucs stay hot or will the Saints get back in the playoff picture?
There is a Pro System pick for this game that is 139-80 (63%)
Patriots (-7.5) vs. Ravens
Tom Brady and the Pats are 4-1 against-the-spread when they play Baltimore in the regular season. However, the Ravens are 4-0 ATS in the postseason against New England. Bettors must be remembering the playoffs because the majority of bets are coming in on Joe Flacco and crew to cover. Bet against Brady at your own risk!
